That is a brilliant question but tricky to answer. One of the big challenges with MRI now is that you have to lie down inside the tube of a very strong magnet to do the experiments. It would be great if we could have an MRI scanner that could scan your brain as you walk around. It isn’t obvious now how we would do this and people aren’t actively researching it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did happen in 50 years.
