Brilliant question. The answer is yes! My research is to improve the quality of scans that we get from an MRI scanner. Sometimes I can scan a bottle of water, but most of the time I want a person in the scanner, so I get one of the other scientists I work for to go in the scanner for me and I go in for them. One experiment I did needed the person to be still in the scanner for over 90 minutes, which is a very long time, so I went in myself and my colleague operated the scanner. I have had 100s of MRI scans of the past 29 years I have been doing this research.
