• Question: why did you decide to study night vision optics?

      Hello,

      It just kind of happened that way! I was interested in taking a job in industry (I was in academia at the time) and I’ve always enjoyed working with optics. An opportunity came up to work with night vision optics and it looked interesting. I was able to build on my previous experience to quite quickly learn about night vision optics and I enjoyed the new challenge.

      As with most career steps, you have a few ideas about what you would like to do and then it depends on what opportunities present themselves.
